Does anyone else think it’s ridiculous that I recognized this guy(‘s face)? -_- It happened in ep 2, too, when I’d rewinded a few minutes because I got confused with the characters and when I rewatched it, I was liek, “MIYANO?!” It was a 3-second scene and he said two words. TWO WORDS, GUYS. |||orz

Also it IS BETTER THAN AN ACID TRIP. 8D Then you get used to it and then watch it like normal. lol.

Laptop went temporarily wonky; took me ages to get it working again. ;_; More specifically, the battery-recharger gave out. It did this before, when I unplugged it to do something, and then when I plug it back into the power, it doesn’t respond. I spent about half an hour of my life that can’t get back jiggling it, removing it and then plugging it back in, messing with the actual laptop battery, clicking the master power on and off, until FINALLY it came back on again. Thanks, Friday 13. :|

Also, I are a genius: when my computer came back on, I was clicking on my blog link when it said it couldn’t display! This happened before, too, so I put in the address of my host. That wouldn’t display either! It was then that I noticed my internet wasn’t plugged in.

Man, this week’s guest pep talk was so lame. It basically excludes writers like me, who write skeleton-like first drafts by hand and then fill in the flesh and the sensory perception and the deeper thoughts and feelings on the computer. Wow, because I engage the world while on the computer and not in handwriting, I’m, like, totally not a real writer. I just really love that, you know that? When the craft I’ve spent most of my life and most of my focus and concentration and attention refining is said to be worth shit because I’m apparently ‘doing it wrong.’ From that troll on the Nano forums two years ago who believed those of us who think of our characters as, like, having character were basically all nutcases to people like this chick who is actually a writer. Like, wow, I am so flattered.

ETA: It’s not even that I don’t think she has a point. A lot of times, I open Pages and then just stare at it. But when I opened my notebook this morning, I uh, just stared at it, too? Yes, sometimes it’s easier with pen and paper, but it’s not like I—and we Nanowrimoers—don’t have the ability to completely conjure up something from scratch on the computer and keep running with it. That’s, you know, kind of the point. And regardless of whether you’re typing or hand-writing, this is still a rough draft. No one expects us to be able to stick in beautiful, graceful, architecturally sound, lovely, sublime, honey-dewed descriptions just in this first draft. Not even if we are hand-writing. She was basically just indulging in a circle-jerk because that’s what she does and looking down in contempt for of us who don’t, and trying to ruin those of us who simply don’t work that way.

I freed up 5+ Gbs on my computer by deleting my KRDCD screenshots. :| NOW I AM WONDERING. And am deciding whether I should delete the screenshots I am probably never going to icon or whether I should wait until I’ve decided I’m definitely not going to icon them. :I

Gods, I need to play with someone right now. But RP-mate is on UTC time and she has a very wacky work schedule. Any of you happen to be online right now and can do a little RP’ing with me? It doesn’t have to be anything/anyone specific.

Round robin is also good, but I’d prefer to focus on one/my own character.

ETA: Okay, I need a name for this chick before I go on. It’ll be too much hassle to replace all the names later. ‘Serin?’ ‘Tsubasa”s out, as is the very obvious ‘Suzaku’. I’m tempted to use ‘Minami’, but I am wary of defining an ethnicity. So ‘Sur’ is out, too.

ETA2: Wow. Just wow. Printer is printing blank pages. This, of course, has to happen when I need 18 copies of a 5 page story tomorrow morning. Wow. Life just loves me, it’s just fucking tangible, you know. Tangible as in my fist really hurts and my floor has a permanent dent in it. You can just feel the love. This is just goddamn ace. Man, I just love the little gags and stuff in this series. Ura going “Uso!” was particularly hilarious. Den-O may have been written very rushed and last-minute, but it was so awesome. I particularly love how the extra forms (Climax, Liner, Zero) were created out of necessity other then for the sake of defeating the enemy hur hur. Climax Form in particular wasn’t used much to actually defeat enemies, it was for plot and (more poignantly IMO) used in cases to show the connection between the Imagin (i.e they originally couldn’t do it because they squabbled so much, later they can do it on command with no problems) and Ryoutaro. Liner Form isn’t even powerful (except for the hisatsuwaza, where it’s implied that it contains the force of a moving train); they introduced that one because of a plot point.

…I just don’t want to write Nano right now. I’m not ahead, so I’m going to have to really sprint this weekend if I want to be on course for the weekly goal. I’m just really tired and shit right now, adfghjkl; And my plot, while great only just yesterday, just bores the shit out of me right now. :/
