lol guys, I just opened my “New Post” window to make a new round robin post…and then stared at it for liek ten minutes. Clearly all my writing brain-juice has all gotten sucked into RP (…which is actually kinda sad because I have little to no brainpower for RP these days even so). :’( Maybe I can think of a good idea later. orz

I’ve just been reading this thread about Japanese->English romanizations, and the subject of Yagami Light came up…

There’s all this balh blah blah about how “Light” or “Raito” or “Write” is the correct spelling, and guys. There are these things called puns. Japanese authors do it on purpose. English is not the only godsdamn language in the fucking universe that engages in wordplay.

asdfgjkl; Today in class I probably came off as some kind of misogynist because I called it ‘praising’ when a guy compared this chick to a man. ;_; Normally I’d be all against that but that wasn’t my point; my point was the appeasement of Diana through praise, and then the prof brought up the actual lines, and I was all “…Crap.” Because I mean, within the context of the poem it was meant as praise, and it even says that it is praise in the next line, and that is no excuse, but I…wasn’t actually paying attention to what the praise actually was, just that he praised her.

Laptop went temporarily wonky; took me ages to get it working again. ;_; More specifically, the battery-recharger gave out. It did this before, when I unplugged it to do something, and then when I plug it back into the power, it doesn’t respond. I spent about half an hour of my life that can’t get back jiggling it, removing it and then plugging it back in, messing with the actual laptop battery, clicking the master power on and off, until FINALLY it came back on again. Thanks, Friday 13. :|

Also, I are a genius: when my computer came back on, I was clicking on my blog link when it said it couldn’t display! This happened before, too, so I put in the address of my host. That wouldn’t display either! It was then that I noticed my internet wasn’t plugged in.

ETA: Okay, I need a name for this chick before I go on. It’ll be too much hassle to replace all the names later. ‘Serin?’ ‘Tsubasa’’s out, as is the very obvious ‘Suzaku’. I’m tempted to use ‘Minami’, but I am wary of defining an ethnicity. So ‘Sur’ is out, too.

ETA2: Wow. Just wow. Printer is printing blank pages. This, of course, has to happen when I need 18 copies of a 5 page story tomorrow morning. Wow. Missed my stop today, and ended up at Hoyt Street, which is actually one of those stations that do not connect directly to its Brooklyn-bound counterpart. So I had to go aboveground to look for another station, and as I was walking around, I was liek, “Wait, Fulton? …Fulton…Fulton Mall…

And yeah, I was in the shopping distract right near Tech. I eventually found the DeKalb Ave station, and it was kinda nostalgic, but I was mostly pissed that I had to use $2.50 more on transportation today. :| And it is so typical of my luck that I got off on one of those stops that don’t connect to the returning train. -_-

There’s this annoying person on eljay who keeps asking basic questions about the FF7 anthology. Like what format FF7 was originally in (-_-) and why Genesis appears in the end of Dirge (and who Weiss even is).

And I’m just like, “…I see people these days haven’t heard about Wikipedia.” I mean, this takes you two fucking seconds to look up and Wiki gives you basically all the information you need to start with, instead of say, spamming the comm with your incessant, basic questions. People these days are too lazy to do their own research but would willingly spend more time trying to get the answers from a fan’s community. Are you fucking serious. Just. asdfghjkl; KIDS THESE DAYS THEY HAVE NO SENSE

…fuck. I thought I’d have to add things, and then I find I’m 186 words over the max word count for this assignment. ;_; And my sentences are already so sparse and disjointed and…sparse! This makes me unhappy. ;_;

And I still have yet to do the poem. Which I should have done first, what with the poem being the basis, but I am made of utter fail when it comes to poetry. >[ Also, 80 words. I have liek 30 so far. Which is kinda ironic IDEK GUYS

ETA: …OK fuck the poem and my overlong word count. Mele, Rio I’M COMING GUYSSS~~ :DDDDDD ~gets kicked in the face~ This fic is nearly done, I just need to pad out one or two of the scenes. I’m just kinda having trouble with Mele in the bath because I just stuck it in there as something for her to do. So this part is pretty bare-bones but I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT ELSE TO PUT IN IT. ;;_;; And I can’t help feeling like the breakfast scene is a bit odd. -_- Do I usually take such care in my other fics? The answer is a big fat “no”, but this is one of those where, instead of a scene first, I came up with the structure, and was just filling things in, hence why I talk about padding some scenes (as opposed to just leaving it if, transitionally, the rhythm is right). So yea idek. @_@

ETA2: …I just typed out what I had for a poem (I’d written some lines in my notebook some days ago). I actually have 72 words.
